About the event

You’ve heard people talk about investing in startups. But how do you actually become one of those investors?

Angel investing can often feel like a world that happens behind closed doors, filled with jargon, networks and opportunities that are hard to access. This session is about opening that door.

Join Preethi Mohan and Solai Valliappan, co-founders of Chai & Capital, for a beginner-friendly introduction to angel investing and what it could look like for you.

We’ll unpack what angel investing actually is, who can become an angel investor, how it compares to other ways of growing your money, what investors look for when backing a startup, and practical first steps if you want to explore the space further.

Whether you have been curious about startup investing for years or have only just heard the term, this is a space to learn, ask questions and build your understanding without feeling like you should already know the answers.

No investing experience needed. All questions welcome.

Come curious. Leave with a clearer understanding of how angel investing works and where you might fit within it. Event Schedule
