About the event
This fun, beginner-friendly 60-minute workshop introduces you to the beauty and strength of Bharathanatyam.
Led by Shobana Suresh, Bharathanatyam exponent and founder of Samarpana Institute of Dance, the session includes:
Special exercises to strengthen your core and improve posture
A guided introduction to basic stances and steps (adavus)in Bharathanatyam.
A taste of traditional hand gestures (mudras) used in rhythmic and expressive movement
A full-body workout and a cultural experience you'll never forget!
👚 What to wear: Please wear attire suitable for movement – gym wear or a cotton kurti/salwar
