About the event

Join Brown Boss Babes for an intimate morning of wellbeing, reflection, movement, food and connection at the beautiful Co-Lab Quarters in Newtown.

Across three very different sessions, we’ll explore how we nourish ourselves, how we listen to ourselves and how we reconnect with our bodies. This isn't about completely overhauling your life or having wellness figured out. It's about walking away with practical tools, new perspectives and a little more connection to yourself.

Nutrition 101 & The Balanced Plate with Trish from NuTrishtion
We’ll begin with the foundations: how are we actually nourishing ourselves?

In Nutrition 101 & The Balanced Plate, Trish will take us back to the fundamentals of nutrition and introduce the Balanced Plate Method.

You’ll learn how to bring together protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats and plants to create meals that are nourishing, satisfying and achievable in everyday life. No complicated rules. No restrictive diets. No overwhelming nutrition advice. Just practical knowledge to help you feel more confident about what you're putting on your plate and why.

Trish, founder of NuTrishtion, helps people feel stronger, healthier and more confident through personalised nutrition and lifestyle coaching. Passionate about real food and sustainable habits, she helps people move away from restrictive diets and towards realistic approaches that fit into busy lives.

Trusting Your Inner Knowing with Missy Kay

Have you ever agonised over a decision, asked everyone around you what they think, overanalysed every possibility… only to realise you probably knew the answer all along? Missy Kay is an Inspirational Connoisseur, business consultant, facilitator and community connector with a passion for helping people reconnect with themselves and trust their inner knowing.

Through a guided Body Compass exercise and workbook reflection, Missy will help us explore what intuition can actually feel like, what can mute it and how to recognise the difference between intuition, fear and other people's expectations.

You'll leave with a practical decision-making tool, greater awareness of how your own intuition communicates with you and, hopefully, that little moment of: “I already knew.”

Sensual Dance with Janani Beadle from Get Fit Janani

Then we're getting out of our heads and into our bodies. Janani Beadle is the founder of Get Fit Janani, a dance and fitness brand built on her lifelong passion for movement, wellbeing and empowering women.

With three decades of dance experience and more than 20 years of teaching, Janani believes movement can be a powerful way to build confidence, strength, self-expression and a positive relationship with our bodies. Inspired by Kartik's Touch Yourself, this sensual dance workshop is an exploration of self-love, confidence and emotional connection through movement.

Slow down. Move with intention. Let go of judgement and give yourself permission to connect with your body.

And no, you do not need to know how to dance. This session is designed for all levels and will be held in a safe, supportive and empowering environment.

Move for yourself. Embrace yourself. ❤️

Food, chai & a little something to take home

Wellbeing isn't just what happens during a workshop. Sometimes it's sitting down over food, meeting someone new and having a conversation you didn't know you needed. We'll have time throughout the morning to connect, eat and simply enjoy each other's company, including a special pop-up by Chai Ya Pani.

Chai Ya Pani is a family-run Indian street food business bringing the vibrant flavours, colours and culture of India to Australia. Inspired by the bustling streets and chai stalls of India, they serve authentic, flavour-packed street food made for sharing, celebrating and connecting people through food.

And you'll be taking a little bit of the morning home with you too.

Every attendee will receive a BBB Gift Bag worth over $150 featuring products and goodies from women-founded businesses across Australia giving you the opportunity to discover and support more incredible women building brands in our community.
