About the event

Brown Boss Babes is proud to support Objects That Carry Us Home, a special panel discussion at the Chau Chak Wing Museum exploring the objects, rituals and personal histories that shape our understanding of home and belonging.

Moderated by the Founder of Brown Boss Babes, Vithyaa Thavapalan, the conversation brings together writers Bee Lim, Jacquie Pham and Natasha Rai to reflect on how stories, memories and traditions are carried across cultures and generations and the ways home can be preserved, transformed and reimagined.

For many of us who live between cultures, the idea of “home” can mean so many things. It might be a piece of jewellery passed down through generations, food made the way our parents made it, a photograph, a ritual, a story or an everyday object that carries far more meaning than anyone else might realise.

This conversation invites us to explore those connections together.

Tickets are $5 | Free for CCWM members, students and concession holders

All ticket proceeds will be donated to Room to Read Australia, supporting literacy and girls’ education.

This event is curated by the Chau Chak Wing Museum and yinfluence, with support from Brown Boss Babes, Room to Read and yinfluence editorial.
