Join Brown Boss Babes Melbourne for Property 101: Getting Into the Market, an evening of practical conversation, honest questions and connection designed to help make the Australian property market a little easier to understand.

We’ll be joined by Janani Kathirkhanthan and Anita Andrews for a panel discussion bringing together two different perspectives from across the property journey.

Janani Kathirkhanthan is a buyer’s agent with a background spanning law, finance, property law and conveyancing. Her experience across the buying process gives her a unique perspective on everything from finding the right property and conducting due diligence to negotiating and understanding what happens through to settlement.

Anita Andrews is the Founder of AKA Finance Group and its Head Mortgage Broker. Through AKA Finance Group, Anita works across residential and investment lending as well as commercial property, business, asset and equipment finance, personal lending and SMSF lending. Her focus on research, education and tailored guidance means she'll bring an important perspective to the conversation around getting finance-ready, understanding your borrowing options and navigating the lending process.

We'll explore everything from buying your first home and property investing to borrowing capacity, finance options, choosing the right property, contracts, due diligence and some of the common mistakes buyers should be aware of.

There will also be plenty of time for audience Q&A, so bring the questions you've been Googling or the ones you've never felt comfortable asking.

And because this is BBB, we're making space for connection too. The panel will be followed by networking, giving you the opportunity to meet our speakers and connect with other women at different stages of their property journey.

Whether buying property is something you're working towards now, considering for the future or simply want to understand better, you don't need to already know the answers to be in the room.

Public Transport

Tram: ​Routes 11, 48 (stop D18). This stop is within the free tram zone connecting Southern Cross Station and the city.

Train: ​Take any train to Southern Cross Station and catch the tram or walk 500 m to the Hub.

Parking

There are a limited number of metered parking spaces in the area, primarily along Bourke and Collins streets. There is no parking within the immediate vicinity of the Hub. We recommend using one of the below metioned parking stations.
